Booking into the Hospital

Paperwork
Your chosen obstetrician will provide you with a Pre-admission Booklet at your first appointment.

The pre-admission booklet should be completed and returned within 14 days to confirm your booking to the hospital in one of the following ways:

• In person to Reception: (Open 7am – 8pm Monday to Friday)
• Fax: (02) 9717 0322,
• Post: Kareena Private Hospital,

Preadmission Appointment
You should also call the hospital on 02 9717 0000 to make an appointment for a complementary Preadmission Interview conducted by a midwife. A one on one session ensures you are prepared prior to your day of admission. Questions or concerns you may have can be discussed.

If this is your first baby then the interview will be a face to face 30 minute session at Kareena.
If you have previously had a baby here a 15 minute phone interview can be booked.

All interviews are conducted Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings.

Hospital tours
Before you have your baby with us, you may wish to tour our Maternity Unit and view our facilities. No booking is required. Please present to the main hospital reception for directions.

Tours are available on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month between 11am and 1230pm.
Tours are also conducted during the Antenatal Classes.
