Kareena gets the green light for the green light laser

Kareena Private has performed its first GreenLight laser prostatectomy on the 12th February.

Kareena Private has recently purchased the latest state of the art PVP GreenLight Laser from AMS Australia which will provide an invaluable service for patients in the surrounding community.

Similar to traditional transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), GreenLight Laser prostatectomy is performed when benign prostatic enlargement causes symptomatic partial obstruction of the bladder outlet. The GreenLight Laser was developed specifically for hemodynamically unstable patients who traditionally were unable to be treated. Unlike traditional TURP there is minimal haematuria allowing patients to be discharged the next day.
