Dr Dean Conrad is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, dedicated to advancing care for women’s health. He has undergone advanced training in minimally invasive complex pelvic surgery, with particular interest in advanced endometriosis and non-mesh alternatives to urinary incontinence and prolapse.

Dr Dean Conrad is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 10 years experience. Graduating from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), his training started at The Sutherland Hospital where his passion for women’s health began. After finishing his RANZCOG training at St George and Royal Women’s Hospitals, Dean underwent subspecialty training in advanced endoscopic gynaecological surgery completing a two year Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES) fellowship with Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC).

Dean is dedicated to advancing care for women’s health with a passion for minimally invasive advanced pelvic surgery, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Dean is an advocate for empowering women’s choices, providing a relaxed and supportive environment to discuss treatment options. Dean takes the time to actively listen and encourage questions, understanding that every woman is an individual. He is a strong believer in evidence-based medicine, having published extensively in peer reviewed journals and presented both nationally and internationally on advanced endosurgical techniques. His passion for education has taken him across the country as an educator and surgical mentor for doctors advancing the knowledge and awareness of endometriosis and pelvic floor dysfunction.   

Dean has a special interest in urogynaecology and fertility. He is a strong advocate for providing non-mesh alternatives for the surgical treatments of incontinence and prolapse. Dean believes in a holistic approach to pelvic floor health and has a close working relationship with pelvic floor physiotherapists and continence nurses. He also performs his own urodynamic studies. Dean also an interest in fertility including issues affecting the early pregnancy. He has completed a Masters in Reproductive Medicine at UNSW, and has partnered with City Fertility, offering fertility treatments to patients from a diverse range of backgrounds, inclusive of the LGBTI community.
