Dr Norman Chan is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, who can consult both in English and Chinese. Besides delivering babies, Dr Chan also treats general gynaecological problems ie. Menstrual disorders, abnormal pap smears, utero vaginal prolapse, urinary incontinence and infertility. Dr Chan also performs minimal invasive surgery ie. advanced laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopic surgery.
Dr Chan gained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of New South Wales; he was a general practitioner before he entered his specialist training programme at The St George Hospital in Kogarah. Dr Chan was also trained at The Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong, and the Chelsea’s and Westminster Hospital in London and the Royal North Shore Hospital in St. Leonards before he started his private practice in Miranda in the Sutherland Shire area in 1999.
Dr Chan is also a Specialist Examiner and Specialist Training Supervisor for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). Dr Chan is also a Specialist International Medical Graduate Assessor for RANZCOG.
