Dr Mehta’s Rehabilitation Medicine training was undertaken at tertiary teaching hospitals across Sydney, including St George, Concord and Westmead Hospitals. He has also completed training at subacute hospitals such as Ryde, Calvary and St Joseph’s Hospitals. This training has provided expertise in many areas of rehabilitation medicine including orthopaedic, neurological, older person’s health, cancer rehabilitation and spinal injuries. Dr Mehta was admitted to the Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) in 2021.

Dr Mehta began his long career in rehabilitation as a Podiatrist, working for 15 years prior to beginning his medical training. He completed both a Masters in Podiatry and an Exercise and Sport Science Diploma. He was extensively involved in sporting injuries and rehabilitation developing expertise in lower limb injuries. He then went on to complete his MBBS in 2012, spending his internship and residency years in New Zealand, followed by appointments in major Hospitals across Sydney.

Dr Mehta currently works as a Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine at Royal Prince Alfred (RPAH) and Concord Hospitals. He is also credentialed for consultation rights at Strathfield Private, Westmead Private and North Shore Private Hospitals'. He has visiting rights for both inpatient and outpatients consultations at Mt Wilga Private Rehabilitation Hospital and manages inpatients at Kareena Private Hospital.
