Dr Phillip Malouf is a Specialist General Surgeon with an interest in Colorectal surgery including laparoscopic procedures, colonoscopy (including advanced polypectomy), TEMS/ TAMIS transanal surgery and disorders of the pelvic floor.
Dr Malouf completed his General surgical fellowship then undertook two further years of Advanced Laparoscopic fellowship at The Bankstown-Lidcombe hospital while completing a masters of surgery through the University of Sydney; he then completed 2 years of fellowship with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) with posts at the Alfred hospital in Melbourne and St George Hospital in Kogarah.
Dr Malouf has an extensive list of publications including the fields of acute care general surgery, colorectal cancer and premalignant diseases of the anus, with grants for research focusing on the effect of obesity in colorectal cancer surgery. He is a conjoint lecturer for the University of New south Wales and has admitting rights at The Sutherland Hospital, Kareena Private Hospital, Kingsway Day Surgery and St George Private Hospital.
